How old is the laptop you are trying to watch it on? How well a streaming video will perform depends on a lot of things, how fast your broadband connection is, how much memory you have free, how many other tasks are running at the same time taking up the processor, etc.

Laptop is approx 18 months old it is a Dell inspiron 6000 it is on a wireless network connection of 24mbps and it has no other tasks other then msn being open and this boards page.

Did you specify the correct network speed when starting the stream? If you pick one designed for a higher speed than you are capable of, the higher quality image will cause problems. Have you tried the next one down, to see if it makes any difference?

There could well be other programs running in the background, live anti-virus, anti-spyware, etc.
