Does anyone know why NTL have suddenly ditched their BBC radio channels?
One of the reasons i signed up for Digital was so I could listen to them, and in the last 2 days or so they've disappeared!

I'd call customer care but now they've barred people on mobiles from ringing their 1800 number.

Oh they're back now! They were gone all day, my digibox rebooted itself twice.

    Odd!

The latest NTL software update seems to be behaving pretty badly at the moment. When I try to browse channels the box crashes regularly and reboots itself , but at least that strange freeze frame thing is gone for now. Seems to be that the NTL boxes suffer from quite a lot of presumably software bugs?

Yes I too can confirm the freezing and reboot via browse. Last night the whole screen frooze, went bright green for 15 seconds then blue then rebooted!

My box rebooted 3 times at random while scrolling the EPG yesterday - green screen then nothing for a few moments then NTL white screen and its back.

I'd call customer care (sic) but now they've barred people on mobiles from ringing their 1800 number

When NTL were Cablelink they used to proudly boast that cable penetration in Dublin exceeded domestic landline telephone penetration.

And this was well before the days of widespread ownership of mobiles

Doesn't Telephone line rental without ANY calls cost more than Basic Sky, UPC/NTL/Chorus and some non copper combo phone/BB packs!

Not to mention that with a dish one can enjoy BBC and almost 200 other UK stations WITHOUT ANY MONTHLY PAYMENT

with a multisat system there are literally THOUSANDS of radio stations

My 3,500 ch mem receiver can run out of space with just FTA channels. But it is motorised.

The 1800 234 234 number is still accessable from mobiles as it the 1800 924 424 Broadband support number.
