Windows Media Encoder9 is free and does wma/mpeg2/mpeg4 etc.
Real player, VLC, Quicktime, Media Player 10 etc to watch web tv.

There isn't "real" TV on general Internet, it isn't fast enough. "real" IPTV uses local networks and you need to be with the service provider and have their setbox (e.g. Magnet).

Telewest/NTL in UK on cable and BT on VDSL/ADSL2 experimenting with real VOD /IPTV as apposed to Web TV. Comcast in some areas of USA has good VOD over cable.

    Same crap, different name.

If it's too good to be true, then it isn't true.

It is really infact just a GUI with web address's to feeds you can pick up from http://www.wwitv.com/portal.htm

Again you don't need this. Simply Google for the video feeds and Quicktime, Real Player (RTE, BBC) and Windows Media Player (most BBC) will cover virtually all internet video.
