Because there are banner ads for it on boards.ie?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 35,524 ✭✭✭✭Gordon

    Ah so there are! Sorry!

Strange because I always check the adverts on boards and read up on the products and services on offer. I must be needing a battery change..

I for one welcome our future and will be enthusiastically learning about the island of Chek Lap Kok in Hong Kong thanks to The Wasaki Corporation, it sounds like a hip place to be.

The villas on the west Sham Rogue look really nice, not like those stupid looking ones on the Northern and Eastern leaves; I mean, who the fúck would want to live on a Northerly Sham Rogue leaf??

Apparently there's plan to build a sea wall across dublin bay with a motorway on top, it's to prevent flooding with rising sea levels. I read about it in the Indo about a year ago. Same artical suggested building a tunnel to england.

I hear that Neath is an awful place to pass by on the motorway. Will this new tunnel pass under Neath?

I'd be happier if they just kept digging until they got to France.

This was on morning Ireland this morning (the last 15 mins or so if you want to listen on line or the podcast)

They've now put planning application notices up on the sea front all across Dublin 4.
There is no planning application in and the hoax is getting more and more elaborate.

OK, this person would appear to be shilling. I suspect its not in the advertising agreement. http://boards.ie/vbulletin/member.php?u=81532

I hope those planning notices are on legal notice boards.

It would be an interesting case study to find out how this guy got his advertising on boards.ie does he just ring up blacknight and buy some time/space or did you look at it first to see that it was a 'legit hoax ad'?

    has he been shilling elsewhere

As traditional banner ad online marketing loses "click action" effect,
viral marketing is taking off. (Who didn't see the Steorn site?
    http://www.steorn.net)

We put together a fun viral concept at www.dublincoastaldevelopment.com for
the launch of our new website www.funda.ie next week.

The "coastal" site is already getting good radio and press coverage and it's
being linked back into our Funda brand well. But I'd be interested to hear
your opinions on the use of "joke" viral media for launching a new brand.
Has anyone else tried this approach and was it successful?

    Regards,

Its a very good spoof/promotion, i was cycling on coastal cycle path/boardwalk from clontarf to howth earlier and they have put up real(or real looking) planning permission signs (the white ones on a stick) all the along the grass area from clontarf to wooden bridge at dollymount.

did they get permission to do that ?
