Anyone got good advice here? I hear they are working on the car park there and are advising to park in connolly station? are they doing shuttle buses down there or something?

My Mrs is pregnant, so I don't want to have to walk too far, and getting thre early isnt an option..

Where do you reckon I should land the car?

As far as I recall, they do have shuttle buses from around the Connolly station area. They advertised it in the Irish Times before some gig. Whether they do it for every gig Im not fully sure, but maybe you could give them a call to find out. Has nothing about it on their website.

    Heres a little something:
The Point Theatre is located on Dublin’s North Wall Quay. We are situated opposite Dublin Port and adjacent to the East Link Toll Bridge. You can also reach the Point Theatre on foot (we are approximately 25 minutes walk from Dublin’s City Centre), by car “Parking Facilities” taxi and Bus Route 53

Please allow added time to travel to the Point Theatre, as Dublin City Centre’s traffic is notoriously busy. Patrons approaching from City Centre/ East Link Bridge are advised to enter from the North Wall Quay entrance. Watch for “Point Car Park” Signs. On site Car Parking is available at the Point from 5pm on the day of the event. Parking is charged at €6.00 per car with a cost of €12.00 per coach. The Point cannot guarantee parking and we operate a first come, first served service, so arrive early to avoid disappointment. For events where we anticipate a large driving audience, The Point Theatre have also put in place, in association with Dublin Bus, a return shuttle bus service (Point Link) (€2 exact change neccessary) picking up from the Luas, Dart and Intercity Train services outside Connolly Station and for those customers using the IFSC Car Parks, at the junction of Commons St and Mayor St. Exact change only

    Hope that actually helps

thanks all. i was in there last night. we were late, but got parking no probs in connelly station. the walk was about 20 mins which isn't too bad. Only cost 2.50 - handy enough.

People were also parking in the IFSC.

There were limited spaces in the Point Car Park, but they were going no-where when the show finished. bods walking everywhere and total traffic jam.

There was even spaces along the quays actually.

    Hi all,

Similar thing with me, I'll be going to the point this Sunday and I'm coming from the south side of Dublin. Was thinking of maybe parking along the Quays or Maybe at Heuston Station. Im not that farmiliar with Dublin transport but say I left the car at Heuston would there be transport back to the Station after the gig. Any help would be greatly apreciated.

Went to Roger waters there couple of weeks ago (sell out and a monday so many many cars). I parked along the quays on North Wall Road, right beside the point. Got out of the car thinking nice one no fee after 7pm in town so happy days, then a little old man in a high-viz came over and goes "eh....that's a fiver bud". Not wanting my car to be a cube or a shell when I came out I gave it to him.

I'm presuming this was a total chancer no? I was on the main road, not a private car park or anything

Got me thinking I should invest in a high-viz top aswell :p
