hd difficulties with sky dish

Hi folks, just bought one of those new 40" hd tvs from aldi. Worked great for a few weeks and now suddenly in the last few days the picture has started to break up. In the signal test the signal is strong but the quality of signal line is way down. I also bought the hdmi dvd player and it is working really well. The dish may have got a belt of a sliotar ( 2 teenage boys) and this could have affected it, but do I need to upgrade the dish or the box. Bad weather never affected the picture this badly before. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If it got a belt of a sliotar, then it is probably just a little off kilter. slowly move the dish to see if you can get a better reception.

Chances are that you do not need a new dish or receiver. Send the kids to hurling lessons though!

Check the LNB rotation first, checking quality if signal is high.
