Yes, but you don't have to accept that tutor and can always request another from the Senior Tutor's Office. Some tutors would contact their tutees to tell them that they will be away and they'll have arranged someone else to be their tutors while they are away.

That happened to me back when I was in first year and they didn't tell me either.

Go to student information systems login/register and then theres a webpage with lots of information about you and college.

Anyone know when the timetables will be up on the Student Info System? For me it's still last years timetable.

Don't know what course you're in but in the BESS faculty you've a better chance of getting it by going to the faculty noticeboard the week before classes restart than looking online.

Nah, not in BESS faculty, doing MSISS so down in Eng faculty, just wondering cos they seem to be in the process of updating some stuff and didn't know if it was available to others already

IIRC they stick them up there around the start of freshers week.

I'd guess they're finishing up the room bookings for the year now, so it should be up next week or else Freshers'.

Though I tried logging in yesterday, and it came up 'Service Temporarily Unavailable'. Typical.

i'm pretty sure as donal said the room bookings haven't been finalised(they weren't as of wednesday anyway...), so can't get timetables as they just arn't done...

Interesting to see that student finder is back (well, on its way). It's about time, I didn't realise how useful that was until it was gone. Bebo just isn't the same (having to use bebo while working on projects =/= fun).

Think this is the right thread. Went in to register yesterday, but cos my mum only got round to paying my fees last week by card, they haven't come through (:o was my reactionary expression i think!) Anyway, couldn't do my tour or anything like that so have to do that one next week. Anyway, when I was bringing my sheet over from one desk to another, I noticed my tutor was different according to the sheet. I hadn't been notified that my tutor changed, and I don't know when he is available to meet etc (like when I have to go and see him this week). It's Mr. E. MacCarthaigh I think
