Pharmacy dispensing drugs

    Hi,

Am wondering if anyone knows if pharmacies are legally bound to dispense an informational leaflet with prescription drugs.

Keep coming across it where they dispense the drugs loose in the little plastic container or in the blister packs in a bag rather than a proper official box cos they have split up a bulk buy.

Surely they have a duty of care to inform consumers of how to consume, side effects and ingredients ?

    thanks.

The manufacturer must provide the leaflet, I don't know about the pharmacy.

Certainly it would be ill advised for a pharmacy to refuse a request for a leaflet.
