The primary badge on the car states 1.8 which is petrol.....

Problem would be the presence of both a 1.6 badge, in the correct position for the model badge, indicating petrol.

Also a 1.9TDI badge, in the wrong position for the model badge, indicating a diesel.

That is strange, the diesel badge, if it is a diesel is in the wrong place!!

Do they not do a 1.8 petrol, did not think they did a 1.6

It appears from the picture that its both.

Maybe this is the start of a new trend, first we had de-badging and now we're witnessing the birth of "many-badging"

No tailpipe visible (from what I can see), so I'd say it's a diesel, as the title says.

Maybe the quality of Audis is getting really bad and the 1.9TDi badge slid down to the bottom of the boot lid on a hot day?

That's nothing TBH. I can read the tax disc in the window - it ssays 1896cc which implies 1.9, so it's obviously the TDi. Case closed ;)

Anyone remember years ago when only taxi-drivers & culchies drove diesels - before they became so refined and advanced?

Social climbing culchies would stick 'DIESEL' badges on their petrol Golf/Jetta/Corolla/Sunny...

    No.

What are the chances this car got a donor engine at some stage? Or else a donor rear end!

Maybe the car is a diesel/petrol hybrid? VW kept that one on the qt.
