Hey everyone, am just about to start work on a play. Still at the reading stage at this point. I don't want to go into details yet, call it superstition after a fiasco last year. :)

Any hoo, the play calls for an American accent, specificlly a New York accent. I've been working on the accent, it's getting that bit tighter but I don't want it to sound that all tourist impressiony. All "Gee, you goys" and "New Yawk".

I working on broadening the A and stuff in like want (waunt). I'm looking for more kind of tips like that. Any web sites, that would offer some tips for accents etc?

    Thanks for the help.
