I have heard people here talk about Sky charging far too much for the EPG. Seems Rapture feel the same and have provided Ofcom with what they say is evidence that Sky are breaching both the Code of Practice on Electronic Programme Guides and Communications Act 2003.

This move by Rapture has made Sky withdraw threats to remove Rapture from the EPG in a row over fees.

Perhaps the result of that investigation could be interesting. Hopefully not just Rapture in a last desperate attempt to stay on the system.

Hmm, so Rapture in crisis yet again! :D

It may be interesting to see what happens this though, and whether Ofcom will do anything about the charges from Sky for EPG placement.

Of course Sky charge far too much by about x10 for encryption and/or EPG. But Ofcom always agrees with Sky's breakdow which has artifical costs. In reality the EPG and/or Encryption cost Sky nothing for EPG and almost nothing for Encryption. Who owns Sky and the expensive Encryption company NDS?

I'll be surprised if Ofcom change their attitude as BBC and ITV have both lost this battle several times.
