Dead Rising - Disc Read Error issue?

    Just wondering if anyone else out thee is experiencing problems with dead rising? i have plaed mine a good few times but since last night it refuces to play any more, i get a disc read error when i try to start from my saved game on the title screen. However i can start a new game if i remove my HDD? If you do a google search for this issue you will see a lot of people are experiencing this, tonight i am gonna try to back-up my HDD to my PC using XSATA and then restore to see if this fixes the issue, if it doesn't then apparantley the only other workaround is to disconnect the HDD and buy a memory unit to save your profile on when playing the game, would not feel too happy about having to form out for a memory unit that i don't need just to play one game...

    Any body else seen this issue so far?

    this issue together with the tiny txt in standard video output reek of a game being rushed

    yes it is pretty disappointing all right, and ruins an others wise great game.
