setting up a blog on a domain

Hello - I've never really dealt with setting up blogs before, so any advice would be appreciated.

A client has asked me to set up a blog on their domain, so instead of client.bloggername.com, it would be blogname.client.com - does this make sense?

Baiscally what I'm trying to do is host the blog, instead of users clicking out of the site. Is this possible?

    Thanks all

Yes, where is the client hosted - is php and mysql available?

You can install something like Wordpress very easily in a standard unix environment - most hosts now have a simple '1 click installer' for a blog on domain account.

    Hello again,

Wordpress did exactly what I needed it to do.

I'm now looking for similar software for another site - except that runs off a windows machine (that doesn't have mysql installed on it) Does anyone know of one I could use? Either using a SQL server or Access database?

    thanks! :)

If you have a mysql server anywhere, you can use WP on windows with a remote db server
