A Wednesday night in Dublin

So theres a number of attractive tournie options tonight and Wednesday is midweek poker night for me now that I'm back working so what's the plan? I don't bloody know becasue I'm not sure what the best value field will be.

Here are the options I'm considering.

Silks €100 + €10 DC game with 4k and 4k stack and 30 minute blind levels and a finish at 4am (or if all the FT agree to shorten the levels maybe finish at 3.30 am. I generally don't agree with this on principle but..... ;) ) Got 31 runners last week. €2500 minimum prizepool guarantee. Mixed standard

SE €40 + €10 +€10 scalp plus one €40 rebuy. 3k + 4k stack. 20 minute blind levels until the 2k 4k level when it becomes 30 minutes. Got 35 last week. Prior to Silks getting serious it was getting ~ 45. Mixed standard

Jackpot EPT Satellite €150 plus one rebuy or topup. Details in Dukebox's post. Can't see this being finished before 5am and the better players around town will probably be playing it.

Fitz €20 rebuy. Max spend €85 (incl €5 reg) last seen getting ~35 runners and finishes at 2.30ish. A fair bit of play and the standard was bad as I recall. May have changed but I seriously doubt it.

Right now I'm thinking my order of preference is Silks, SE, Fitz and then Jackpot. But I'm open to persuasion.

So if you are playing tonight where and why?

Im sticking with the SE scalps but for me its mainly for me record in this tourney....just want to keep the good run going.

If it wasnt for that though id try Silks.

That would be my preference as well. Is it a guaranteed payout in Silks tonight? The numbers might be lower because of the EPT sat, so there could be a nice overlay there. Is it a 9pm start?

The guarantee is on again Lenny at €2.5k.

I don't see there being significant overlap between the peeps in the Jackpot sat and the Silks crowd last week if I'm honest (and only in a good way if there is ;) ) so I don't think overlay will come into it. Would be welcome if it did though!

Supposed 9pm start. T'was 9.30 last week! Should be better this week because the crowd and staff have had last weeks experience so I'm ever hopeful....

Earlsfort Terrace Nick. If you are coming from Stephen's Green its past the UCD building on the right. I think you'd be okay for parking in the area.

I think I'll head into the Silks game tonight, the Jackpot would be my second preference, but after an expensive trip in barca it might not be a runner!

I suck. And I can't get bullets to stand up anymore.

21 runners last night on a miserable night so €400 overlay. HB was still in the running as I left. That is all.

Did you take down the SE Washout?

knocked out in 6th for 50 euro lol.

Eddie the eagle called my all in with Q8s....i had A4in the SB. he flopped the OESD with his 8.

he had 50K i had 9~K...so a stack decision call....im the last person you wanna double up these days though

28 runners last night FP 900...sounds like the value defo was silks.

also how is it fair that ppl can come in half way through the fourth level buy in for a full stack and start playing where ppl have already taken their rebuy??
