Help! Cannot get WinMx to work with BT broadband

    I have installed WinMx and the Pie patch.

    When I run WinMx for the first time and it is testing my connection I get the message:

    "WinMX was unable to make an outgoing TCP connection to it's test servers. This could be because this computer isn't currently directly connected to the internet, you are on a Local Area Network and need to use a SOCKS proxy server to make outgoing TCP connections, or there is a temporary nextwork problem"

    My broadband is with BT and they've given me a Zyxel Presitge P660HW-D1 modem.

    I've tried forwarding the ports but am not having any success.

    Has anyone else had this problem, and how did you overcome it?

    Uhhh ... WinMX is dead. Has been for at least 6 months.
