What kind of comedies are you into ?

Personally Spinal tap, Monty python and the search for the holy grail, The life of Brian, Bill Bailey's Live shows and Shaun of the Dead all spring to mind right away.

EDIT : Good call on withnail & I - Saw it for the first time recently. Fantastic film.

Withnail and I definately, it's brilliant.
The Monty Python movies are a good bet, I found The Holy Grail better than the others though.
    Airplane - classic.

If you are heading out to the cinema, Little Miss Sunshine is the funniest film ive seen in years.
All the above are also recommended. Waynes World, Big Lebowski, Spinal Tap, Monty Python and Anchorman (which seems like it will be the only true testament of the talents of Will Ferrell) would be my favourites...

Midnight Run, a criminally underated comedy from the 80s with Robert De Niro and Joe Pantoliano (aye, I never knew the words "80s comedy" and "Robert De Niro" went together either but there you go)

    Its a fcuking classic :D

Bowfinger, tis the dogs balls as well. Triple dose of Naked Gun while your at it.

Naked Gun Trilogy. Would really depend on your taste in comedy but if you like ridiculous comedy, there really is nothing to better it.

Check out Super Troopers. You might find some of the humour a little too intellectual for your taste but it's worth a look.
