driver licence

    my drivers licence has just gone out of date ( july 17) and it is my 2nd prov. Can someone tell me will I have to sit a theory test because of this lapse. Any advice would be helpful.

    No you won't. Assuming you've taken a test, you can use the fail cert to apply for a new licence. If you haven't taken a test, you're off the road until you do apply for one and receive the confirmation.
