Is there anywhere you can rent a GPS unit for the weekend . I would like to test out this 100% mapping before buying?

If you are in Dublin there is a crowd in the Beacon Court in Sandyford that rent them also.

Why not buy in Argos and then return after the weekend. It's free weekend rental;) Not too sure if they'll have the 100% coverage maps though.

Because GPS devices (and many other electronic items) are not covered by the Argos 16 day return guarantee. You hardly thought that they didn't think of that scam, now did you?
