Guide Plus + in Dublin

    Hi,

    I just bought a new DVD recorder and it goes on about the virtues of this Guide Plus + system. I am on the basic NTL package at home. Does anyone know if I can get the Guide Plus + system working and if so how?

    All help appreciated.

    What's the difference between that and videoPlus?

    My guess it uses something extra in the Teletext, which is actually not transmitted on most channels that actually have teletext.

    Only Sky+ (and SkyHD) in Ireland offers an easy for anyone EPG for recording unless you hack a Tivo (no longer sold her or UK) or setup a custome PC, Linux, Media Centre based PVR.

    I believe if you tell your box that you are located in Belfast, it will work for most (but not all) NTL channels.

    BTW it is ITV/UTV that carries the GuidePlus info.

    Unfortunately the service is not officially available in Ireland.
