Lidl /Comag receiver EPG

    Hi

Lidl / Comag receiver has an EPG but seems, to me at least, to be fairly basic. All I can get is the name and time of what's on "now" and "next" along with a two or three line description for the "now" programme only.

Can't seem to get the next progamme description til prog actually begins. Instruction manula suggests you can scan the EPG (in a fashion like an NTL box) so that you can see the whole day's listings, but all I ever see is a blank when I try to do that.

Am I missing something or does my description reflect all that is available on the EPG with this receiver?

Normally on 28.2 / 28.5 you get the now and next and that is all. Some channels on hotbird or Astra 1 will give bigger EPGs.

This is not a fault of the receiver, if the information is not there, it cannot be displayed.

Only some German / Swiss / Austrian channels transmit what it uses. Sky uses a semi-proprietary system ironically called "Open TV" that only works on Sky Digitbox.

    Same with ANY non-Sky receiver.

Yes, I forgot to mention that I was referring to 28.2 E, so I guess that explains the limited info available.
