Dont take this the wrong way but I think theres way too many there to look at - theres gotta be about 40 or so pics.

I took a close up look at one or two and they seemed a bit blurred. It might be easier if you picked out the best ones - or ones that you werent sure about/had a question on and then put direct links to them (alongside the general gallery link) - that way you might get more precise comments than just putting up a link to the whole gallery

Hi Morlar there in total 108 shots and yes I know there's too many I just posted them up to let people from the gig have a look as you may have noticed these gallerys dont appear on my acutal site their just quick review and sharing.

I agree with Morlar, there are loads, and they seem a bit blurred.. I saw from the exif data that you shot at f2 aperture-wise maybe try using a more narrow aperture (5.6 at a guess), you'd get more in focus because it seems that there's a very short depth of field and that's why they're kinda blurred.

For example, in this picture, the mike stand is in focus, yet the bass player is out of focus (makes me think you're using automatic). if you narrow the aperture down (increase the f number), you'd have him in focus, and depending on how you set it, the mike in or out of it.

Hopefully that's taken as positive criticism, and not just me coming across as a w@nker! It's a real nice setting for some shots like that, like the lighting in them..

Lol, I'd have to say the opposite of this.

Keep your shutters speeds fast, and use manual focus.

You have some nice shots there, but they're swamped within the rest. Which ones would you consider your best, or most presentable, out of interest?

I'm hoping to get some gig shots soon ,I was thinking on my canon using TV mode and try and use the slowest shutter speed I can .
I was hoping then that the camera could choose the aperture to suit the lighting.

Would this be a waste of time ?

It's up to yourself Brian, whichever suits you best. I keep my camera on AV 99% of the time, and in gigs, set to underexpose by 2/3's of a stop, usually. Depends on the light available though.

The benefit about AV compared to TV is that with AV, is you know that your shot will be taken on that aperture, and can see what shutter speed is best for it. With TV, your camera will go to whatever light setting and shoot it...

Problem is, if it's too dark for the shot, it's too dark, and your camera will still shoot on the shutter speed you've selected. I didn't explain that very well... but can ye understand where I'm coming from? Like, a lens with an aperture of f/4 at it's widest, will automatically go to f/4, and say if your shutter speed is 1/125, it'll shoot at that, regardless. And nothing will say yay nor nay, other than your exposure meter....which means nothing because there's lights flashing on and off every second!

If you're on AV, and have f/4 selected, you'll know how long the exposure is, and whether you can shoot it or if it's worth while trying. If the shutter speed is too long, move on!

Gotya ,I know what your saying alright .
I had it in my head that if the shutter speed was set at a speed that would capture the movement in TV mode ,I could save the image if it was a little underexposed.
Whenever I used the AV mode ,a lot of shots came out blurred because the shutter was too slow when the lighting changed.

I need a lot more practice ,I think thats my biggest problem

Was shooting aperture priority the whole night and kept it open as the light levels were quite low.

Maybe today I will go through the gallery and do some cleaning but again the shots were not all ment to be bang on.

Out of focus / under exposed / over exposed / blured and just plain wonkey
    Their all there.
