First of all please don't mention anything about downloading epsiodes illegaly as the charter states you will get a perm ban.

So 47 people voted in the poll in the thread on episode 4 of series 2, so I'm guessing those people have seen the show.

Now can anyone let me know where these people managed to view the show legally and how others can do so:confused:

I guess that (aside from the illegal route) they could have seen them in the States or had a friend who lives over there record them onto VHS or DVD and send them over. I can't think of any other way!

    lol, Fair enough.

So is it legal for people to record this in america and send it over here?

Fox is broadcasted over the internet and can be viewed using a program called TVUPlayer, im not sure if its an edited version of fox though.

I don't know how legal it is, but I don't see any harm in it myself. It's no different than a mate taping a show you've missed and bringing it into work for you the next day as far as I'm concerned.

Many popular shows are now available to view with iTunes. I don't know about Prison Break but others certainly are. All legal there too.

No. Making unauthorized copies of any copyrighted material is illegal. So taping a movie or show on RTE on your video recorder (which _everyone_ has done) is illegal. Just as photo-copying a page from a book is. A blind eye has always been turned to this by copyright owners, probably because your taped episode of Startrek wasn't going to be watched by hundreds, or thousands, of other people.

Not sure of the legality of downloading from iTunes if outside of the US.. but if it is legal, that's probably your best bet!

    Thread closed..
