Anyone get one of those Dell 924 printers 50% off? Have they got full or sample cartridges?

Nice, I haven't gotten one, good deals these printers. Subtract the price of the USB cable and get it cheaper elsewhere if you are buying, 18 euro is madness for a USB cable. My folks have that 810 model and I think it came with one black and one tri-colour full cartridge.

Are these rebadged Lexmarks that have a severe thirst for ink?

Ah they do the job, they print for very little money unless you are looking for something of higher quality, these are grand. The 810 model was very popular with boards members a few months ago when it was down to around 20 euro(or not far off). You can get print cartridges cheaply these days anyway.

I've got a 720 from a year or so ago. I think that they have a thirst for ink if you take the low ink warning seriously. Mine's been telling me for over two months that I should order some more ink as both my cartridges are on the verge of running out. It's still printing away!

i have an 810,
one day it said "40 pages remaining"
then i printed a phone number from notepad.

i then had a "low ink warning"
its still printing a month later

and when you do decide to change you can pop down to tesco and buy a refill kit for about 7 euro.
I've refilled the black cart in my 940 3 times from the same refill kit so far.

It comes to €55.38 including the delivery charge for the 924, I'm not used to using Dell's website, is this the correct price?

Yes - That seems to be the minimum price after you knock off the USB cable.
