What type of insurance are you talking about? Like if you get injured while training they'll cover the cost of treatment and you'll be compensated? Not many clubs have that type of insurance however stuff like this would be covered by your own personal insurance. Why is this a concern of yours? I'd be worried about getting my teeth messed up in training because that would be expensive to fix.

    Yes. It is insured.

Yep, Public Liabilty and Personal Accident.

Though, I've only ever had one person ask to see my insurance cert and what was covered.

Everywhere open to the public is required to have public liabilty insurance. Most martial art specific policies have some form of personal accident (ie. activity related) stuff to go along with it. My place is insured by the way.

    Davie,

Can you PM/Email me details of who provides the insurance. Ours is up for renewal and it doesn't hurt to shop around.

Anyone who's not with AIG Europe/All Indoor Sports Cover can they PM/Email me contact details please?

    Thanks,
    Colm

My clubs insured with All Indoor Sports Cover, who have just increased premiums by 30%..ish. Heard AMA were doing cover again in Ireland but the policy seems to be only public liability and indemnity.

We tell students there insured but if a student losed a few teeth, breaks a bone can they claim? I asked my insurer via e-mail - never got a reply.

Does any of you know of a policy to cover personal injury etc

If you do TKD, all RITA schools are insured.

I remember an RITA lad telling me a few years ago that they weren't insured for things like board breaking, it was up to the student to 'choose' to do them in grading etc or not.
