Sky By Mobile - does it work on 3 Ireland?

Has any 3 Ireland subscriber managed to get Sky By Mobile working?

I signed up for this, but I haven't received the text message with the URL to download the app.

When I manually connect to mobile.sky.com/skyapp/skyapp.asp, the site correctly identifies my phone (Motorola E1000).
When I click on the link to install the application, I get a message saying that the application is not registered, and

asking if I want to continue. I select yes, and then the .jar file starts to download, but craps out almost immediately.

Any help, experience or advice gratefully received...

Maybe the application is downloaded from another domain that isn't white listed by 3. I'm surprised mobile.sky.com works. This is the sort of pain that goes with 3's poxy walled garden.

On the basis of the info you've provided I've managed to download the application onto my Nokia 6680. However, I need a name and password to sign in. Where do I get this? What do you mean you 'signed up for it'? Where can I do this? Thanks guys

    Yes I am.
BTW I found the links on the sky website but I don't subscribe to sky. I got a log on as a guest but the username and password for that doesn't work on the phone.

Sounds like there would at least be a possibility of getting it working, if only I could get the .jar files for the E1000 via another route then?

Anyone willing to share a name and password? I'd use it strictly for Skymobile!!!

    Sure - no problem

[Edit don't be silly,,, lots of un-nice folk read this!
    1) Don't give folk details to log in to stuff they havn't paid for, it's illegal
    2) If you do VALIDLY need to share a username and password, be sensible and use P.M.! (Privat message, click on other users name and send PM)
