    1) Moving to Mac forum.
    2) That better be a request to buy a legit copy of Disk Warrior. And nothing else.

What sort of problems are you having? What are the symptoms? If it's a hardware problem, warrior isn't going to be able to fix it, maybe retrieve your directory structure. If it's a directory corruption, warrior is pretty good. What system etc etc, you need to give us more info.

    Hey

In A Nutshell, Things Are Acting V Weirdly At The Mo On My Mac. One Of The Weirdest Things Is That Sometimes (acting All The Time) When I Type It Goes Between Capital Letters And Small Letters. I Think The Prodlems Started When My Comptuter Just Turned Off A Few Times (battery Looks Like It F**ked), Probably Screwed Up Some Of The System.

Do You Think That Disk Warrior Would Help This..?

Everytime I Used Disk Utility, Its Says That All Issues Are Now Repaired But It Never Fixes Them. If I Run Disk Utility Again, The Same Issues Are There....

I Will Copy And Paste What The Problems Are Off Disk Utility If It Will Help....?

    All Help Is Appreciated...

    Sorry About The Capital!

    Anthony

Do you have the free app Onyx? http://www.titanium.free.fr/pgs/english.html
Try running a system maintenance and checking the .plist files

sounds like a good idea, but to be honest it sounds like your OS is a bit hosed and you should re-install 10.3

You can do it without losing your Users' data, just do a clean re-install (without erasing your disk of course) and apply Software Update to bring your system back up to spec. See if that cures your problem.

Well you're certainly right about it being weird if it's putting capital letters at the front of every word you type. Never seen that before

    hey

tried the link above, thought it worked but the weirdness is still there....im not sure where my original disk is, and i went around a few shops asking for warrior, and they looked at me like i had 10 heads!

if i bought tiger, and upgraded, do you reckon that would go over the screwed up PRogramme i havE NOW>>>?

which does you guys think is better to do, buy warrior or upgrade To tigeR..?

Did you purchased Apple care for your iBook, because it would have come with TechTool from Micromat. It's like Disk Warrior. A clean install of Tiger should solve the problem though.

By any chance have you enabled Universal Access ? This has a sticky keys feature. If the <SHIFT> key is presed it acts on the next character typed. It's possible you have a stuck or partially stuck shift key. Try typing a few numbers and see do you get alternate shifted numbers like $%^&* etc.

I'd be very surprised if this was a software issue but maybe check what keyboard you have set in System Preferences/International/Input Menu.

Does it happen in all user accounts, try creating a new user and see if the problem stays.

Does the caps problem happen in all applications, Textedit - Safari - Word - Mail etc etc.

also now, from time to time, my ibook opens in safe mode...? any suggestions why..? utility isnt finding anything to fix...?

    Just buy it online.

It could be keyboard related TBH..I agree with Zener and would take a closer look at the shift key. Do a visual inspection of the actual key itself just to check there is no debris under it. If there is you could use some compressed air to blow it out.

Could also be a faulty membrane under the shift key.

Just to eliminate the caps key check the caps light is not coming on / off.

That makes me even more confident that you have a faulty keyboard.
Holding down the SHIFT key while booting does indeed start the machine
in SAFE MODE. No amount of software utilities will fix this I'm afraid.
