What is the best piece of advice you have come across regarding martial arts / self defence / fighting.

    I particulary like
" Avoid ass****s and people with big egos, Dont be an ass**** or have a big ego."

When that fails I like homer Simpsons advice to Bart
"First you gotta shriek like a woman, then keep sobbing till he turns away in disgust. That's when it's time to kick some back. Stand on his neck and then run away"

I think Geoff Thompson sums it up best for me with some of his own lines.

    "Learn to hit F**king hard".
"Don't listen to the bul****, forget the politics and just enjoy your training".

    Cheers,

    Bagg.

My Mother, who is not a self defence expert (unless its woth the wooden spoon) gave me my best bit of advice: "Why would you do something that didn't enjoy?" Advice I follow to this day.:D

    The Midnighter:

Hit the soft parts with the hard parts. Hit the hard parts with an implement.

    Ehhhhhh.......

"Aido, get you fu*king hands up!!" strikes me as being very pertinent at the time. :)

Control the legs, then control the hips, then control their torse, then they're head. Think about what you're doing. Try and understand why you're doing what you're doing. If it doesn't work, try something else.
