    Reckon www.skirmish.ie would let us run some skirmish days using their site? I mean obviously we'd pay for rental and marshals to be there...just we'd have our own guns and they wouldnt be paintball ones. Should I try get in contact with them?

    We're not doin them a favour whupass, if they've any business sense then (assuming it's viable) they'll grab onto this opportunity and start allowing airsoft games too.

    yes but if someone calls and says "hi, can i play airsoft there" they won't have any idea what's going on, but if someone go's up to them and says "hi, sorry to bother you but do ya know waht airsoft is? blah blah" and then if it doesn't work i'll still be playing there so they might say yes someother time, anyway better in person i think

    They can say the same thing on the phone!

    It doesn't make a difference if it's in person or not, so the sooner someone can contact them, the better.

    god ok calm down please, i know the owner so don't you think talking to the owner in person is better than a receptionist on a phone? it's only two days too and they won't let you in for a while anyway, they'll want to call the insurance and stuff.

    I would imagine anyone asking on the phone would request to be put through to someone with the authority to make these sort of decisions.

    It doesn't make a difference to me either way, but you just seem to want to do it so you can say you did.

    Perhaps if they get a phone-call and then you ask in person, they'll see it as more support, so will be more inclined to go ahead with it.

    Up to Harekin anyway, I'm not arsed phoneing since I don't have a gun, lol

    no, i'm not doing it for the glory, i just thought that seeing as i'm going there on saturday and heve been there before, it might be a bit more impressive if someone goes down there and asks. any one can call but if you actually get off your arse and go down there they might think that we actually really want this, which we do right? another thing is that the place isn't really on a main road so people might find it hard to get too but seeing as i'm going anyway it's no bither for me.so can we please stop bickering and just agree that what harekin says go seeing as he started the topic?

    so someone can call and ask for the manager, someone can go down and ask for the manager or i can go talk to tha manager on sat.

    Like I said, doesn't make a difference to me, the more communication made the better.

    Purely from a business point of view I would always give something more consideration and be more inclined to give them what they want if they took the time to come to see me to make their request.

    However if you give them an inclination of your interest on the phone and then go down with a detailed request then thats alot more impressive.

    If insurance, etc., permits them to have airsoft on their land, then they'd be idiots not to latch onto it.

    They're not doing us a favour, we would be paying them a handsome fee for it! And I can't imagine expenses would be much higher for them.

    It really shouldn't make a difference whether we phone them or go down in person. They're running a business, not doing us a favour. Either there's enough support for them to bring it in or there's not, and seeing someone's face rather than hearing their voice is irrelevent.

    It just means support++
