Spending Spree!!!

Just wondering, have you ever gone out shopping for normal, everyday things but have returned home as the bank's best friend?

For example, you set out to buy a pair of trousers but ended up with two entire outfits, shoes, jewellry etc.?

Also, what is the most expensive thing you have ever bought? Ever went mad buying a watch? Eur 1,000 pair of shoes?

The reason i'm asking is because I have a good bit of cash handy and want to go mad, but my conscience is holding me back! I'm just a "spur of the moment" kind of guy :(

    No, I'm straight.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Yeah, maybe its only women and womenly men that go mad. I just don't think it is in men to spend more than what is needed. I cant buy a chocolate bar without thinking about the financial reprocussions! :p

I often go to the shop for a Mars Bar and come back with 6 or 7 euro worth of sweets which I have eaten in an hour.

Luckily I'm 15 so I'm not fat... yet. I'm probably rotting from the inside though. :o

I seem to be able to seperate 'need' and 'want' pretty well and usually come home under budget.

Okay I'm always like that. I go in intending to buy one thing like a pair of trousers and come out having bought a dress and jewellery and shorts and stuff....

    ....and no trousers...:o

Everyones talking as if spending money is a mortal sin. Why do you work so hard for it if your terrified of actually using it? Why should you feel bad about buying something just because you dont need it.

I do well in not overspending unless I go to a thrift store.
I'm surprised they don't have my picture by the cash register as customer of the month! I love other people's old treasures!

Used to fashion model. On occasion the clothing I wore I could not afford. I am very conservative in my spending habits. Save! Save! Save!

eBay has killed off most of the good stuff at those stores unfortunately.

Not in my town it hasn't.
But I look for certain items. It's not like I come walking out with a lamp shaped like a Dance Hall Lady's leg with a fringy lampshade or nothing...

but those are really back in style again!
    :)

You're on the east coast? What about yard sales, and estate auctions?

i have done tht but never in a womenly way on something like clothes or that. usualy stuff like gadgets and big boys toys.
Like about a month ago i was fixing an old remote control car i have (the nitro fueld type) and when i went to a shop for a part for it i spent 450euro on a brand new one. and went to halfords for a 2euro rubber exhaust mount and spent 80 on another remote control car. spent 300 on an mp3 player i used for 2months and havnt seen in about a year and a half. and have almost spent 3grand on a quad or jetski a few times. didnt know which t get thankfully so that stopped me getting either.

Also for the last two weeks of training in college i got a loan of 2grand from the credit union just because i kud and spent it on drinking every night of the last two weeks.

once....I was broke and had just quit my job so no income.

Then my last pay check arrived, 800 big ones, holiday time, pay in liue, over time, sick pay, etc etc. I knew I needed it to finish my third year of college or else i might starve.
Came home the next day with about 6 new outfits.
oh! i bought my friend a cuppa tea too.

    good times..
