Thinking of going to Edinburgh next March!

Anyone got any ideas of things to see and do?

All I know of is the castle!

Prince's street for shopping, The Royal Mile, Arthur's Seat (up a mini-mountain!), Prince's gardens, The Dungeons, The ice-rink, Ocean Terminal, Cowgate at night....

the grass market has lots of great pubs also rose street where they say rugby fans go before a match and have a drink in every pub from top to bottom 32 in all I think and that is before the game. The open top bus tour is good and the castle is well worth seeing It is a good lively location

the 'real mary kings close' tour is pretty good, therell be information on it around the top half of the royal mile, and all the other ghost tours, it brings you under the modern streets, which have been built on top of existing buildings.

if youre flying in, the airport bus will bring you to waverly train station (call in to costa coffee, down the ramps, i used to work there ;)) theres a spire/ tower thingy on princes' street, near waverly bridge, that you can go up.

all the bus tours sell tickets on waverly bridge aswell,

depending what youre into theres plenty of pubs/ clubs, a pound a pint in OPIUM on monday nights on the cowgate, rock/metal music :(

If you are gonna do a ghost tour (which you should) I suggest the City of the Dead Tour, its not as theatrical as the Marys Close one.

Camera Obscura up near the Castle on the right is also brilliant and not something you'll see anywhere else.
