Just wondering, my friend has asked me to do up a very basic website for him (Just as well..I know nothin about web design!) and has given me all of his login details for his eircom.net webspace. Its then redirected to a .com address.

Anytime I try to login using an ftp program to homepage.eircom.net it stops me from connecting. It seems to be because Im running off an NTL connection.

Can anyone give me the procedure for logging in?

    Thanks!

    Login from an Eircom line/connection.

What is the exact error message you get? If indeed eircom restricts access to only people connecting from an eircom ip, then you need to connect using eircom dial up (use the non subscription number) or from a eircom broadband connection.

Eircom restrict access to their free webspace to Eircom connections (Eircom IP's). You won't get in from NTL or any other.
