Thanks enright! Congrats to the lads, they did a great job. The fans knew they'd do it - some shots from around Tralee this morning http://www.boards.ie./vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2054991687

Kerry really just out shone Mayo yesterday, which from my point of view is disappointing, but they'd really done their homework on the Mayo gameplan.

Yes,well done to Kerry.A really bad match but Kerry had to do what they had to do and win Sam.Very disappointed by Mayo.Me thinks they won't win the all Ireland in this decade.

Kerry as far as I'm concerned are untouchable now.

    very good pic.
    ha ha.

what do you mean Kerry are untouchable ?

Cork comprehensively beat them by 6 points in July's Munster final !
    Hardly the stuff of untouchables.

Fact is Mayo rolled over and realistically anybody would have looked good against such a poor opponent.

That said, well done Kerry. Shame the final was so crap but that's not your fault.

Good stuff Enright, simple and worthwhile thread.

Any analysis of this game is hollow if its not looked at in terms of the way Kerry upped their game, It cannot simply be about demonizing Mayo.

Kerry people know this, as bad as this was for Mayo, Kerry got a bigger shock last year from Tyrone. See before last years final, Kerry were able to fluff off every previous hammering (see Armagh, Meath) to the shock of the swarm defense, and dirty football (It is not an excuse, it was the excuse). However last year against Tyrone was well flagged, and Kerry were simply helpless against it in the second half. They were beat by a better footballing side and that’s an awful kick in the nuts to any Kerry side. For Kerry people, I would compare it to the farmer who bankrupts his family business which has been in the family for generations. Its a shock to be the first generation who cannot do the business.

So Kerry do know how Mayo feel, and there is a way back, If Kerry can do it, so can you.

Forget about the 55 year crap - that was nobody's responsibility on the field last Sunday. They were at the most responsible for 5-10 of those years. So the 55 is meaningless.
