    Hi Lads
I got a second sky digital box.
I have one with one tv in one room and would like to hook up the second box that i got to the tv in my extension.
I just want to know how could i receive the signal from one box to another, even if its the same channel on both tv i have to watch.
Is there some sort of IR receiver i could get?.or what else do i need.

    Thanks.

    you've a few options...

    1. Get a Quad LNB and swap it with the single one on the dish itself. This will allow you to then run a 2nd cable from your dish to your 2nd box.
You then need to call Sky for a Multiroom/Mirror Subscription card - which is just another Sky card that you'll put in the 2nd box and allow you to access the same channels as your existing box. This will cost you and requires you to have both boxes connected to the phone line (so they can verify you haven't given the 2nd box to a neighbor) but it's the preferred option as you have the 2nd box already and will allow you to watch different channels in different rooms.

    2. Run a standard co-ax cable from the RF2 output on your first box to the 2nd TV. You can optionally add a TV link IR remote so that you can control the first box frm the second tv. Alternatively you can get one of those wireless TV senders from Argos/Lidl/Aldi/Dixons etc.
The benefit of this is there's no extra subscription charges involved, but it does restrict you to watching only whats on the first box and makes the 2nd box you've gotten redundant.

Or use just all the free BBC/ITV on second box. The box gets about 45 decent channels without a sub. You do need a QUAD LNB with a cax to each box separately.

If the two Sky boxes have different RF, (installer menu) then you can daisy chanin the aerial and VHS through both in turn and feed last RF2 to a 4, 6, or 8 Sky compatible distribution amp. A Sky eye at any another TV will control 2nd sky box.

All TVs then have both sky box channels, VHS channel and 4 terrestrial channels.

    Brilliant lads thanks.
I wont be doing this for awhile but the Quad LNB sounds the way to go.
What is the price for Quad, any ideas.

Less than 70 euro. Maybe as low as 30. Must be a Sky dish type if that is what you have.
