Visiting Time Fallen trees in forests show me time. In their rings seasons have come again and again. Here in the well with not even a shadow for a friend, days are marked by that one brief instant of noon-day sun, illuminating my cell. Just then I can see my dark, damp dwelling and wish for a return to darkness.

Fallen trees in forests
show me time.

In their rings
seasons have come
again and again.

Here in the well
with not even a shadow
