I received an email out of the blue from this chinese company asking me to view their websitr,so i said id take a look and when i did i saw some stuff i would love to buy and they are seemingly a wholesale store so their prices are very good but they only accept bank wire or western union so im a bit cautious whether to send money or not as i might never see the product, what would u do?
Take a look at the site www.login-gps.com
    Do u think its suspicious?

Any dotcom that doesn't accept credit cards or paypal would be a little behind the times in my opinion if they're genuine? I would avoid it.

wow great prices...i'd be fairly sure its not legit, if it was they wouldn't need send emails to get customers

Seriously dodge, in my opinion. I mean, the site design is amateur at best. None of this is concrete, but hey. I wouldn't in a million years.

Might be better in Online Buying/Auctions. I'm fairly certain it is dodgy. Western Union transfer to someone you don't know is as good as flushing it down the toilet, especially dealing with a company who spams for a living. Stay away from it.

    Avoid and mark as spam.

    :::Edit:::

As an example: €320 for a PS3 (not released yet) that is supposed to retail for about €700. At best you would get a picture of it in the post.

Steer clear. Extremly dodgy and avoid clicking links in emails received from strange companies you don't know.

There's something seriously dodgy about that.

    €980 for a Canon 5D? That's a loss of about 600 quid!

    Stay away!

Would I be right that they didn't email you but messaged you through eBay?

Stay well away from them. Hardly a PI though!

It's not, but the mods will move it, so quit yer moaning.

OP, It's possible that it's a genuine wholesale company, but wouldn't you have to buy in bulk? I'm talking about 100's of units.

I think it's a scam and I would avoid it.

It's not even realistic for China, trust me. Electronics aren't much if at all cheaper than they are here, except Chinese own brand electronics. An Ipod costs pretty much the same over there as it does here. (Except in Hong Kong I'm told).

According to the netcraft toolbar this site has only been live since august 2006.

This site (http://www.bjf88.com/index.htm), also has a lot of identical content. It has only been online since July 2006. Looks like a fairly new type of scam.

I've seen alot of these Companies in asia but you do need to buy in bulk. you can't just get 1 or 2 items. Hundreds at the very least i believe. There can be huge savings made but i've noticed this less so on electronics such as the ones offered here. Be very wary of a site trying to pimp itself to you though. If you had gone looking into this stuff or enquired then fair enough.

Most of these companies will only accept Money transfers. They don't tend to deal in Paypal or credit cards from what I've seen.
