EIRCOM’S commercial director David McRedmond has told the company he will leave at the end of this year, writes Ciaran Hancock. It follows Eircom’s €2.4 billion takeover by Australian investment group Babcock & Brown.

McRedmond, 43, whose responsibilities comprised regulation and corporate communications, is not expected to be replaced.

He taught us that if you quote a statistic at an Irish 'Tech' Journalist 80% or 90% of them will repeat it verbatim without checking their facts .
