I've just downloaded adobe reader pro from XXX and it requires me to validate my version within 30 days. I tried to do this over the Interet and apparently, the version I have is not valid (surprise, surprise). They are warning me that after 30 days, I may not be able to use the product. Is this threat to be taken seriously?

Why wouldn't it be? I can expect this thread to be closed fairly lively!
