It was available as part of a special 2 cd + 1 DVD collection given out back when Ireland had the EU presidency in 1994. If you've got any friends in the civil service, there's a good chance they've got a copy (that's how I got mine). Other than that.. eBay?

The year on Imdb is 2001 though...

Is that the one where Joyce describes a Topic bar as "all fecund in its nutiness"

    I loved that line.

I hated this film. Profoundly. Saw it before "the Others". Its the worst kind of arthouse post modern pseudo intellectual ****; tittering to itself about just how clever it is. Really up it's own arse prententious literary injoke, it was like someone had captured the the worst aspects of the Irish Literary scene. The cinematic representation of the kind of conversation you'd find in the kitchen of 2nd year UCD Arts student party. Christ, David Norris farting in my face would have annoyed me less. I'd sooner sit tied to a chair watching reruns of "Leave it to Mrs O'Brien" then watch this again. Why you want to inflict this upon yourself is beyond ken. And no I'm not some knuckle dragging Die Hard loving Neanderthal, I got the references, Beckett's head in the sand, yes yes, very "Happy Days". It just wasn't funny.

Why you want to watch this I do not know. But the IFI bookstore would be a place to start. Failing that the Irish Film Archive (part of the IFI) should have a copy.

I think the poster meant 2004 the last time we were EU presidents.

I too saw it before the Others, but I thought it was funny (and I am some Die Hard lovin' Neanderthal :D ).
