    http://www.pokernews.com/pokerterms/angle-shooting.html

    Angle-Shooting
    Using unfair tactics.

Usage: A poker player who uses various underhanded, unfair methods to take advantage of inexperienced opponents. The difference between an angle shooter and a cheat is only a matter of degree. What a cheat or thief does is patently against the rules; what an angle shooter does may be marginally legal, but it's neither ethical nor gentlemanly. Nor is it in the spirit of the game. Unfortunately, poker is not a gentleman's game. In addition to learning how to protect yourself against cheating players, you must learn to watch out for the angle shooters. See "Angle".

You shouldn't spread viscous lies about people. Especially from someone who built his bankroll by hitting one outers. Saved from busto by a one outer.

Well, he claims I didn't do justice to his point, so I'll let you decide based on his own words.

(This was after he'd told me to **** a goat so he probably didn't expect me to respect any "privacy" of his PM).
    ecksor wrote:
It appears the forum moderator has banned him but personally I agree with HJ.

In the Law of Tort in negligence there is a concept called "detrimental reliance". Example: You are at a dinner party with friends and a friend advises you in no uncertain terms it would be a good idea to invest in Party Poker shares, in his professional opinion it would be the perfect time. You go out and remortgage your house, sell your car and plunge your life savings into Party Poker shares, only for 1 day later for internet poker to be universally banned, Party shares collapse and you lose everything. It later turns out your friend who gave the advice is in fact a mechanic with no knowledge of finance whatsoever.

If you rely on the professional advice of someone to your detriment, with that person having no grounds to claim such authority on the subject, it's possible there is grounds for a claim of negligence.

HJ on this forum certainly expresses in his posts and opinions a deep knowledge and expertise in all aspects of poker. Not gonna sue him for negligence lol but His posts are to the point, forthright and usually condescending. When i saw those hands over a 20 min period i was just thinking "what right does this guy have to talk AT and DOWN to people the way he does based on the way i witnessed him play". And thats a fair point. Wasn't my intention to make a fool out of him or insult him but most definitely was my intention to question what gives him the right to speak with such authority on tournaments with such limited results and standard of play that i saw. Cash games perhaps, not tournaments.

I only wrote the above because im sure you think i was just plain taking the piss out of the guy. If he wasnt such an ******* in his posts i wouldnt have thought twice about posting those hands up, but when someone comes across as a know-it-all and you then see that level of play, you gotta question it.

To be fair to him I don't actually think he was implying any sort of legal issue with HJ's posts. He was just making a parallel to illustrate his opinion that HJ should be banned, albeit in a rather longwinded and confusing fashion.

stressball, or whatever the fcuk you are going to post under next, if you really want to post on boards, either apologise to everyone you have offended or make yet another new identity and make a fresh start.

Stop continually making new names just to continue to argue with the people running this forum. Number one, you wont win. Number two, do you not realise that no-one is taking your side here, and people are starting to ignore your posts, and finally, spending most of your free time arguing online is just plain sad...

As the old saying goes, fighting online is like racing in the special olympics... even if you win your still retarded

(just a joke, dont ban me :))

If RD keeps this up they will be able to change the headline to 'Now there's 100,000 of ye talkin'.

BTW, has anyone seen my goat around?

edit: I have a modicum of sympathy for RD having followed the threads that caused this explosions. However, the overreaction to a post that riled you I think made most people go 'ffs'. Why bother overreacting? What is to be gained from it? If you don't like someone fair enough, god knows there are enough people on here who don't like particular other people, but they usually don't resort to extremes.

RD. I think you should go back over your posts, then sit back and have a long think about what you've said and why everyone here dislikes you. Chances are if everyone thinks you were acting like an idiot, then you probably were acting like an idiot. I'm sure you're farmiliar with this theory of probability.

If after all that you came back here, calmed down said "sorry" (and a genuine sorry, not one that included excuses from a top your high horse) then I tihnk everyone would respect you for it, chalk it down to immaturity and and forget all about it. Poker players are a fickle bunch. You obviously have some talent as a poker player and you might even make some friends here if you just stopped jumping down people's throats at the first oportunity.

In fairness, I don't think a PM should be posted up on the forum without permission from the sender regardless of its content. I know rooney_dives in person and he's actually a decent guy, but he just seems to be easily riled by HJ's posts. As for the arguments with ecksor and dev, I'm sure everyone can forgive and forget cos I know that it was never his intention to go on and 'abuse' the forum. He may have come across pretty badly on this forum but I know in reality he just want to be able to contribute to the forum in a positive way. He's just a poker player after all i guess. Also, it may not be my place to say but I think a life ban is a little bit too far.
