Wii projection query

At the moment I'm torn between getting a new tv for my Wii or getting an adaptor for my new monitor...
After seeing a mate's projector in action, i've kind of decided to get one of those as well.
Sorry about the stupid question, but does anyone know if the Wiimote will work properly with a projector? (too hungover to do any searching:o )

I think the Wiimote works on an adaptor that you place under your TV. Don't quote me on that though.

    Yeah this joystiq article http://www.joystiq.com/2006/09/15/the-only-wii-post-youll-ever-need/

Mentions the wii sensor bar, so I presume thats how the wiimote mainly works.

Your TV/Monitor/projector has no bearing on the Wii remote, only the picture that you'll see. Light guns worked with the screen, but the Wii remote works with the sensor bar you will see if you go to http://www.wii.com, all the details are there.
