Ripping a DTS Cd

    Hi,
Got a CD, which is DTS. When I rip it (with audiograbber), I just get hissing. I can play the CD with VideoLAN, but in WinAmp, Windows Media Player, and BSPlayer, I just get hissing. Now, I want to rip the CD, so I can listen to it with Slayer on my MP3-CD-Player, but all I get is the hissing.

So the question: anyone know how I can rip the DTS CD?

Mods, sorry if this is the wrong forum. T'was here, or the music forum.

You need a DTS decoder installed to hear it, those programs do not natively decode that format (although VLC should have).

The only free one off the top of my head that decodes DTS is FFDshow (download decoder build) which is directshow based so you can use WMP or any other directshow player.

Media Player Classic a directshow player also has a built in DTS decoder I believe.
