what size is the TV and what type of bracket are you looking to put up?
Also will it just be plaster board your fixing it onto or is there a stud in the middle of the wall for you to fix it onto

    Thanks for the response.
It is a plaster wall. There might be a stud underneath it.
    How Do I locate it?
We got 37" Lcd, and want to fix to fixed wall mount.

shouldn't put an LCD over a fireplace that you use...it creates enough heat itself already. You will shorten the life of it by fitting it over a fireplace that is used.
