Seth Green is best known in Britain for his role as Scott, the son of Dr Evil in the Austin Powers films. Here, he leads the cast of a new US sitcom as Barry, dubbed "three feet of anger" by housemate Ben (Josh Cooke). The four lads, or four kings, of New York share a house left to Ben in his grandmother's will and decide to ban their girlfriends from their new abode. Green's character is too salty and loud in this series opener, but the dialogue is sharp, and anyone who has shared a house with 20-something males will identify with it. The opening joke about putting Barry in a giant tumble drier is overwrought, but the show improves steadily from then on. It's worth staying with.
