Reception / Office Manager Job Available

    Hi there,

    we are a Marketing Agency, based in Dublin 2, currently looking for a Receptionist, with some Office Manager duties, to start immediately and to manage front of house.

    Job spec includes answering phones, emailing messages, greeting clients, managing reception & meeting areas, monitoring stationery levels & ordering same when required, light admin support to the Client Service Teams when required etc etc.

    Ideal person should have a good phone manner, be neat & presentable, naturally organised & able to use their own initiative.

    The role is full time however there would be an initial 6 month probation period.

    Salary really depends on the candidate and obviously any previous experience. €18,000 - €20,000 would be about the league.

    Experience is obviously preffered but not essential, it is more about personality and natural ability.

    Thanks for your comments LDB, I assume you are not interested then?

    A number of CVs have been received from properly qualified people who are interested in the job & who don't seem to share your view.

    Perhaps you would be good enough to back up your comment with some stats on average receptionist salary levels for an SME in Ireland, rather than spoiling an otherwise good opportunity for someone to get a good job?

    Fine if that salary level does not suit your circumstances but to the best of my knowledge it is a fair salary for the job on offer.

    I don't want this thread turned into a debate on salaries because at the end of the day that is the package on offer, however I don't think it is fair that you should comment that no one who is "good" will apply for a job at that salary scale.
