Would a surge protector be long enough?

You could probably pick up something like this, most of the shops I checked have cables of 2m long.

You can get those kinda cables in maplins. You could also buy two and join them with a connector (from maplins) of some sort. An extension lead is another alternative.

Yeah I have one of those but I can't use it, the reason being that the cable is for an LCD TV and the cable wire is to be hid inside trunking and the trunking isn't big enough to accommodate that type of connector. Cheers though.

They'll probably have some slimline connection in Radionics or Maplins.

    I've just found the solution.
I'm just gonna make one up myself. Thanks for the help.

Actually, scratch that. They actually have what I'm looking in Maplins.
