Handles for Internal Doors

    Hi All,

We have renovated our house and are getting to the finishing stages. We are getting our internal doors delivered today (may I recommend www.bearfoot.ie who are the the sales arm of Doras Distributors www.dorasdist.ie).

I need to source handles, locks and escutcheons. Most of them are waaaay out of our price range. We are looking for chrome coloured brushed satin-type modern handles with matching escutcheon (rather than the full handle plate). Can anyone recommend anywhere? We have to get these on Saturday.

In addition, 2 of the doors are double doors between 2 sitting rooms. They will have glass panels. 2 Questions:
    - Will a glazier call out and fit glass or do we have to bring the doors to them?
    - Does anyone know the flippy-lock things (that lie flat on the side of the door) that are put on double doors that keep them from swinging? Theres' usually one on top and one on bottolm .Not sure if I explained that well :o

    Thanks as ever

    D

Balmar Ltd in the Ballymount Ind. Est. are very good for ironmongery and would supply all the things you need including those recessed locks/clips for the double door. They supply a lot of builders and import it themselves. They have a showroom for handles but not too sure if they are open saturdays. Quality is better than the asian stuff you will find in B&Q/ Woodies and prices are good too, although this stuff ain't cheap.
