Transfer of numbers from SIM to Phone

    Hi Everyone,

Have all my numbers from previous phones saved on my SIM, I want to transfer over to the phone so I can backup in case I lose phone, when I use the Nokia software it only backs up the numbers on the phone. Is there an easier way to do this without writing them down and entering them manually?

    Phone is a Nokia 6230i

Also have 2 phones, work/personal and would like to move all the personal numbers onto the work phone, if I try to move over using the nokia software it deletes all existing work numbers. Is there a way around this?

    Thanks

i think in the phone book settings there's an option for memory in use. select phone and sim.

if there isn't an option for that there should be an option copy->from sim to phone

Yeah there is an option but that would mean only new numbers added go onto phone memory

I know from my SE phones there was an option to copy to and from the sim but I cant find on Nokia

on my phone i just go to contacts and on the same list as search, add contact, delete, settings etc there's a copy option. when you go into it it gives two options, from phone to sim and from sim to phone.

if you select phone and sim memory it wouldn't copy the numbers but the pc suite should recognise that you're using both phone and sim and copy all of them
