    There are a number of ways, you could try using VLC Media player which does not make any changes to the region counter or you can use firmware to make your drive region free. It looks like the one I posted is a region free utility where you can disable the region counter which would do the trick.

    I've used VLC myself when I need it but to be able to play other region DVDs in any player then firmware is the most direct option, just make sure that it's been well tested before you use, otherwise for the more cautious approach you can buy a program that runs in the background but has the effect of a region free drive, anydvd from http://www.slysoft.com/en/ is probably the most popular but there are others out there.

    That said, firmware, with a little research, is the most effective option.
