We're trying to phase in stud to our home games. Can someone suggest an ante & bring in level which will compare to a .50/1 NLH game?

Also, are razz and stud hi/lo similar enough to use the same blind level as stud hi, if you know what I mean?

are you planning to play pot limit stud? then something like 25 cent ante and you can bring it in for whatever you like between 50c and the pot. If you are playing 1/2 pot limit maybe the same or double that. If you are playing fixed limit try €3-€6 or €4-€8 with a 25c or 50c ante, the bigger ante will make for a game with more action.

Cheers. I think it'll be 1/2pl. Is PL stud played?

yes, but it is not much of an action game in my limited experience.

I've heard that it is (or was) played NL (or that could be PL) in the UK before holdem took over.

Over here in Austria it is all limit. I've never seen anything other than limit going online either.

Here the cash games are 4/8 with 1 ante and 2 force bet or 6/12 with 1 ante and 3 force bet. It creates action but then the players here are terribly loose.

Online the antes are generally a lot less with 5/10 having a 50c ante and a 2$ force bet. 3/6 has a .25c ante and a 1$ force bet. Razz should have the smallest pots and stud hi/lo the highest (especially when 2 people catch a low).

I'd say 5/10 limit would compare favorably to 1/2 NL (4k needed for 20 buy-ins to 1/2 - 3k for 300BB's (that's big bets) in 5/10 although I think you need a bigger bankroll for stud as there's an extra street compared to holdem).

For a .50/1 NL game i'd go with 3/6 with a .25c ante (.50 if you want more action) and a 1 force bet. 2/4 might be a good idea for learning though 2/4, 1 force bet and .25 or .50 ante.

PL stud isn't a great way to introduce stud to players who don't know it in my opinion. 2/4 limit with 25c ante sounds about right to get it started in your game although be prepared for disgruntled players and cries of "can we not just stick to hold em" from the more casual poker players in your game. I really struggle to get stud games played in my home poker game.
