Carlow IT 06/07 - First Impressions

Just back today, first off they had all summer to change the seats but no they leave it until the day all students are back to do it!

The cleaner guy got a new uniform, looks like he works in a Chinese now!

Some guy installing new wall mounted machines down by the copiers, either a new way of paying for copying or new way of topping up your card.

Bright yellow walls and bright yellow floor down by the School of Science, you would need shades on walking down there!

Flat screens for the printers but same ol CRTs on the open access on 3rd floor.

Thats pretty much all I noticed today.

Ah yes the talent its the usual mix. 70% tracksuits, 20% well fitted jeans, 5% semi naked and 5% absolute stunners!

I really dont like the yellow science building...way too bright walking down there. Also, there seems to be an even larger number of first years this year. There all over the place. But i suppose about 33% of them will be gone by christmas, so its not too bad.

And the ID cards dont have useless chips anymore, they have useless swipe things. They also dont say your account number on them...which i should probably find out.

Your login will be your student number. So its something like c0002799. Im liking the swipe on the card, its looking like the card will do printing and copying. Another year or two and it will pay for food as well.

ye sure campbells tok over the cleaners and security and all that in the college, hence the new uniform. they took them over last may.

here wait, stall the ball! there seems to be a bitta bman related gossip goin on! it may shock yis to know, that, contrary to popular belief, i actually have standards. fairly high ones n all! the problem is that standards and carlow dont really go together so i had to bend the rules with regards my standards. True, some of them were wretched, and some of them were only mingin, BUT, none of them were fat! u hav to have sum respect for urself! :P

also, in reference to Don1's homo-erotic related comment, i'd like to state, for the record, that none of them were male. That is not to say one or two weren't more butch than me and had more facial/body hair. On the contrary.
